Chris Kim, MD

Dr. Chris Kim, MD, ASE, CBNC, brings a dedication to honest, compassionate care to his role at CommonSpirit Penrose Cardiology. He believes the foundation of a successful patient-provider relationship is built on transparency and genuine concern. Dr. Kim strives to treat every person who walks through his doors to the very best of his ability, ensuring they feel supported and well-informed throughout their heart health journey.

Dr. Kim earned his B.S. from Auburn University and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he also completed a certificate in Anesthesiology. He went on to serve as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Birmingham Baptist Health Systems before completing his Cardiology fellowship as Chief Fellow at Vanderbilt University Hospital. 

Outside of his practice, Dr. Kim embraces the active Colorado lifestyle. He loves hiking, biking, skiing, and Jeeping through the mountains, or simply tinkering with projects around the house. A lifelong car enthusiast, he is passionate about car collecting, performing his own repairs, and participating in track events. Above all, he cherishes time spent with his family and his three dogs.
